The world is filled with hate, hate towards other people, hate that comes from fear of things that are different or from fear of people who are different. A group of people that gets a lot of hate in Europe are Muslims. An example: the hijab is forbidden to wear at school.

In “Love from A to Z” S. K. Ali shows us how it is like to deal with hate because of your religion. And only for this reason you already should read this book, but next to that the author also gives representation of MS and also briefly says something about the disease that I had myself: scoliosis.

Next to all of this representation Ali also gives us two amazing protagonist and a love story that melts every heart.

Zayneb is a young girl that has to deal with a lot of hate, just because she wears the hijab. Even the places that should be safe for her, like school, aren’t safe at all. Zayneb doesn’t let this hate put her down though. She fights and keeps on fighting, even when the whole world tells her to stop.

Adam is a Muslim too, and he recently found out that he had MS. Since his mother died from this disease, he finds it rather hard to tell his father and his little sister about his own diagnosis.

“Love from A to Z” is a book about bravery, dealing with grief and hate, and mostly about not giving up. It is an inspirational book that everybody should read, and where we should learn from.
